LOCAL SPOTLIGHT​​

Exclusively on SoundCloud. Every other Friday and dropping at 12 Noon. We will feature a local original band from somewhere in New York State. We will play an album in full, front to back, and unedited. Below you will see a picture of the album and a link to where you can listen to it.
If you are a local band, and want to send me music, I want to link it. Then you can go to the Local section of our site here and find the band that you are listening to. And then you can get yourself introduced to some new music. Exclusively on SoundCloud.

​COMPACT ROCK'S 90 ROCK BRACKET! ​​

Last year, we decided to get involved with March and the bracket insanity that comes with it. Due to the overwhelming fun and participation of it, we have decided that we will do another one this year.
​
This year, we are doing soundtracks. And we had so many good 90s movies and soundtracks, that we had to lay out some ground rules. So here is what we have done. I will first tell you that all of the soundtracks on this bracket are ones that have at least 5 songs recorded by an artist. We did not use music scores, with TWO exceptions, and if an album only had one recorded song, Wild Wild West for example, that was not chosen.
1 - We took the Top 100 grossing movies of the 90s, regardless of genre, and took soundtracks out of that.
2 - We then took 32 of the 90s cult classics and a few favorites, ranked them by gross, then made them the bottom half of the list. So if I missed one or two of your favorites, I do apologize.
3 - We then used a reverse snake method where soundtrack one went up against soundtrack 64, and so on.

So with that being said, here is the bracket. We have now hit Round 2. And here are the links for the regions to vote at. All voting will go for one week. So the voting for the first round will end at 11:59 PM Eastern time on March 22.
